November 7th - 2nd Annual Heron East Retirement Home "Biker Party" - Sarasota, Florida
The Heron East Retirement Home is located at 2290 Cattlemen Rd in Sarasota, FL 34232.
This event is special as LAMA Sarasota succeeds in reaching out to the Seniors of our community by having a Biker Party at their residence, the Heron East Retirement Home. Last year's event was a great success with over 50 Bikes and approximately 100 attendees. This year's event is expected to be equally as successful or better in reaching out to these Seniors and letting them know that they are still appreciated and that the Biker Community cares about them. This event is open to the public.

November 1st - 2009 BIKERS FOR BABIES Benefit Ride - Naples, Florida
The Ride will start at North Collier Regional Park located at 15000 Livingston Road in Naples, Fl 34119 and end at the Harley Davidson of Ft. Myers located at 2160 Colonial Blvd. in Ft. Myers, Fl 33907.
The cost to participate in the Ride is $30.00 for the Rider and $20 for the Passenger.
All proceeds to benefit The March of Dimes.
This is a law-enforcement 38-mile escorted ride from Naples to Fort Myers. The escorted ride takes you along Bonita Beach, Fort Myers Beach, up McGregor Boulevard and across Colonial to Harley-Davidson of Fort Myers. Celebration at Harley-Davidson with a live band, food, refreshments. There will also be awards given to the groups and individuals who raise the most money.
The March of Dimes is the nonprofit health organization that's leading the way in the fight against prematurity! Every year, half a million babies are born too soon - one in eight - and the number is on the rise. The March of Dimes is dedicated to reducing the rate of premature birth by funding research to find the causes and stop it from happening. In half of all babies born premature, there is no known cause. You can help us change that!
March of Dimes, Bikers For Babies, plays an integral role in the advancement of thier mission.

Bikers for Babies weekend starts with Bike Night on Friday night from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with vendors, refreshment and entertainment.
Saturday festivities will start at 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a Halloween contest.
The culmination of the weekend is a law-enforcement 38-mile escorted ride from Naples to Fort Myers with awards, food and festivities at Harley-Davidson of Fort Myers. See more info above for Sunday, November 1st Benefit Ride.

October 3rd - 5th Annual HISPANIC LATINO FESTIVAL - Sarasota, Florida
The Event draws an estimated crowd of 3,000 (in 2006), 8,000 (in 2007) as well as March 8th and October 11, 2008 and growing bigger each and every Event.
The main purpose of Academy of Latin Arts and Science, a Nonprofit Organization that produces the Festival, is to promote the Hispanic/Latino Culture in Sarasota and the surrounding areas (6,283 an 11.92%) and representing the fastest growing community in Central Florida. This Event benefits the youth through Arts and Music and teaches financial responsibilities and more.
LAMA Sarasota will be showing their support by having a booth at this event and we will be showing our LAMA DVD with all of our Event Photos and Videos from 2008. We will be taking pictures of attendess on our Bikes and promoting LAMA and our ever growing presence in Sarasota. If you are interested in joining LAMA Sarasota and would like to learn more about us, this is a great event and opportunity for you to meet all of our members. Remember we accept all makes of bikes (650cc or larger) and you do not have to be hispanic to join our Association as we do not discriminate with regards to race, gender or make of bike. There will be Raffles, Music, 50/50, Cash Bar, Vendors, Dance Floor, Silent Auctions, A/C. Bike Contest with 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Prizes. The stretch of road known as Deal's Gap AKA Tail of the Dragon , dishes out an incredible 318 curves in only 11 miles! The Cherohala Skyway is a road enthusiast's dream. It connects Robbinsville, North Carolina with Tellico Plains, Tennessee. There are few facilities other than restrooms for most of these roads so make sure you arrive in Fontana with a full tank of gas, you will be glad you did. Are you up for the challenge?
